Sunnyside Resort And Lodge offers 23 guestrooms and suites with lodge-style decor. Rooms feature private patios or balconies, goose-down comforters, and mini-fridges. Every room includes a continental breakfast and afternoon tea. Room types include Lakefront Suite King (bedroom and separate living room with king bed and pull-out sofa), Lakefront Suite Queen (bedroom and separate living room with queen bed and pull-out sofa), Lakefront King with Fireplace, Lakefront King, Lakefront 2 Queen, Partial Lake View King with Fireplace, Partial Lake View Queen with Fireplace (queen bed, pull-out sofa, and fireplace), Partial Lake View Queen or King (queen or king bed and pull-out sofa), Garden View King with Fireplace (king bed, pull-out sofa, and fireplace), Garden View Suite Queen with Fireplace (queen bed, living room with pull-out sofa and fireplace), and Garden View Suite Queen (queen bed and living room with pull-out sofa; pet-friendly). Lakefront rooms are above the restaurant and bar and overlook the outdoor deck. Partial and garden view rooms can be impacted by operations at the Sunnyside Marina and High Sierra Water Ski School and Boat Rentals. Each room includes free internet access, a flat-screen TV, carpeted floor, AM/FM alarm clock, free toiletries, garden furniture, patio, and air conditioning. One bed is in the spacious double room. Lake views are from the balcony. Every stay in a guest room includes a hearty continental breakfast and afternoon tea in our nook overlooking the lake.
Dining Options
Sunnyside Resort guests can dine at the Lakeside Dining Room, which serves American cuisine and steakhouse food. The lodge is collaborating with Tahoe City Farmers Market to present cooking demos of recipes created by Chef Christian Novak showcasing local ingredients. Appetizers, cocktails, and entrees are served. Tacos are available every Wednesday evening throughout the winter. Rehearsal dinners start at $60 per guest, and day-after-wedding brunches start at $30 per person.
Leisure Activities
Sunnyside is near activities, including summer boating, water skiing, biking, hiking, and fishing, and winter snow-skiing, snow-boarding, and cross-country skiing. The West Shore bike trail travels nine miles to the southern edge of Sugar Pine Point State Park. Sherwood Express chairlift at Alpine Meadows lies via Ward Canyon. Water sports are available at Sunnyside Watersports, including boats, pontoon boats, surf boats, jet skis, kayaks, and paddleboards. The lodge provides expert staff dedicated to creating memorable experiences. Every Wednesday evening throughout the winter Sunnyside is buzzing with the sound of people talking and tacos crunching. Location and Access
Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge is on the scenic west shore of Lake Tahoe, half a block south of Fountain Avenue, two miles south of Tahoe City. Nearby landmarks include William Kent Beach (0.3 km), Tahoe Park (0.3 km), Paige Meadows (3 km), Maritime Museum & Garden (2 km), Granlibakken Ski & Sled Hill (3 km), Tahoe Maritime Museum (2 km), Tahoe Park Beach Association (0.5 km), Blackwood Canyon SNO-PARK (3 km), and St. Nicholas Episcopal Church (2 km). Reno-Tahoe International Airport is 90 km away. The TART bus routes pass right in front of Sunnyside Lodge and are free to passengers. Guests can also take advantage of the free shuttle to the Sherwood chair at Alpine on weekends during the winter season. The shuttle picks guests up in the 'Sunnyside Back Parking Lot' and across the street at the 'Marina Parking Lot'. The hotel is easily accessible via mountain bike or foot. The TART (Tahoe Area Regional Transit), with a convenient stop just steps away from the lodge.

The most common trees found near 6200 feet are Jeffrey pine. It's one of the only certified Volvo Penta service centers on the lake.
